Flute and Winds Faculty: Barbara Griffiths
Barbara Griffiths graduated from State University of New York at Fredonia with a Bachelor of Science in music education. Her flute teacher was Dr. Donald Hartman. She then attended the Aaron Copeland School fo Music, Queens College, where she earned a Master of Music degree in music education.
From 1970 to 2006 she was band director at a public school in New York and played with symphonies in Bayshore and Merrick, New York.
For over 25 years she had a private studio in New York where she taught a large class of flute students.
